Cait Fletcher and I have known each other and have worked together for over 10 years! We had attended an event at Bugsy’s together over the winter and she had mentioned it would be such an awesome spot to do a photo shoot! We talked a little about it here and there, but everyone gets busy, so the idea was kind of put on hold, but then…
Ari, the owner of Bugsy’s, wanted to promote it as a new Bachelorette Party spot. I told him that we should do a photo shoot of a Bachelorette Party in action. We got to talking about it, and the more we talked, the more the creative juices started flowing. Seeing as how June was Pride Month, we thought it would be a good idea to make it a same sex styled shoot, and it turned into a full on styled shoot with brides and bridesmaids and feather boas! Of course it had to fit the theme of Bugsy’s, which is a Roaring 20’s vibe! I went back to Cait and she was in! I knew she was the perfect photographer for this, as her style totally compliments the vibe of Bugsy’s.
Once this idea started to flourish, I decided we could not only do a bachelorette shoot, but turn part of it into a bridal shoot with 2 brides. I got so excited and we started putting together our squad! My idea was to have hair and makeup done on the 2 brides first, do a bridal shoot with them, then while that was going on, have the bridesmaid have their hair and makeup done. Once everyone was dolled up, we could have the bachelorette shoot! It was so perfect, and I couldn’t have asked for a better team to put this together!
It involved very little “in-person” planning, so the vendors who participated were basically going off of my vision and some Pinterest photos. Let me tell you…each one of them KILLED IT! The feather bouquet and wood flowers by Wood & Word Blooms perfectly complimented the cake done by Madame Gateaux. The dresses from Michele Bridal not only fit the theme of the shoot absolutely perfectly, but looked amazing together on our 2 gorgeous bride models. And the hair and make up by Blu Bridal Studio and Eye for Beauty was on point. I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking.
