Top 5 Reasons to Hire a Business Coach

We’ve all seen those “influencers” on Instagram and TikTok. They promise you more engagement, more followers and more business. Kinda hokey, right? That is NOT what a Business Coach is. At least not THIS business coach. I’m not here to promise you the world or talk you into being an ambassador or anything like that. I truly just want to share my business experience with you, business owner to business owner.

So, here are the top 5 reasons you should hire a business coach (specifically me!):

  1. Relatability. I’ve been where you are (and honestly, I probably still am). As a business owner for the last 16 years, I’ve experienced ups, downs, that global pandemic (what was it called? JK), being financially comfortable, being broke, loving my job, questioning every life decision I’ve ever made, experiencing imposter syndrome, being frustrated, being stuck, wondering if I want to keep going, asking myself what’s next, laughing, crying, sweating, bleeding, and so many other emotions and feelings. I’m sharing this with you so you know I SEE YOU. I AM YOU. Having someone who has been in your shoes is so beneficial.
  2. Time. There’s only so many hours in a day (week, month, year). It’s hard to be the owner, social media person, accounting department, planner/photographer/florist/whatever it is you do, and wear all the other hats that come with a business. Figure out what’s reasonable for you to do yourself and what you can hand off to someone else to save your sanity. If there’s one thing I learned over these years, it’s that you can’t do it all, and there’s no shame in asking for help.
  3. Change is inevitable. Change is hard for a lot of people, but it is inevitable. The economy is ever-changing and we have to be ready for whatever that means and learn how to adapt. When Covid came around, weddings were being canceled left and right. We didn’t know what to do moving forward, which made it VERY hard to plan for the future. So what did we do? We adapted! We changed our services to accommodate the needs of our clients and the current situation. For example, we began offering elopement and micro-wedding packages. We teamed up with other vendors to create those services and they were a big hit! You need to be prepared for change and having a coach in your corner can help you be prepared for that.
  4. Accountability. I work out with a coach at my gym because I know myself and I know I need someone to hold me accountable and show up for me every day. Same thing goes for a business coach. I’ll hold you accountable to your goals and make sure we are on track to hitting them.
  5. One up the competition. Get an edge on the competition by having someone help guide you in the right direction. Do things your competitors aren’t doing and be a better business owner in the process.
