First and foremost, I am a wife and mother to 2 boys, Kyle and Mason. They're part of the reason that I continued to pursue my dream of being a business owner. Having the ability to make my own hours and still be present for them is invaluable, and an experience for which I will forever be indebted to my amazing husband.

As a kid, I was always organizing everything. I loved stationary and paper and pens and markers and journals and planners and anything else that allowed me to plan and organize. Trapper Keepers and Lisa Frank? Yes, PLEASE! As I got older, that love for organization became a love for planning, particularly fun things like events. I woke up one day with the thought, “Could I actually make a living doing this?”. I had gone to Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT for my Bachelor's Degree in Communications, so I had a little knowledge about business and how they worked. When the idea began to formulate more and more in my head, I decided to take my education even further and pursue a Master of Business Administration Degree. Right after I earned this degree, I had my first son, so the timing was perfect! I was able to be home with him during the week while my husband worked, and work at night and on the weekends, when most events took place!

More than 10 years later, I still love bringing the idea and concept of a wedding or event into reality. Each one plays out differently, and I love that! It keeps things fresh and exciting! I can't wait to hear from you and learn all about how I can help with your next event!

Caitlin Battis (Casey) joined the Pink Olive Events team as an intern in 2009 and is now one of our Lead Coordinators. Since then, she has worked, planned and facilitated many events over the years for Pink Olive Events, including weddings, parties, charity events and more. In her full time job as Director of Business Development for an international consulting firm, she spends most of her time building relationships with clients to ensure all of her clients’ needs are not only met, but exceeded. Currently, Caitlin is a candidate for a Master of Business Administration from Post University in Waterbury, CT, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Southern Connecticut State University.

Caitlin has been involved in community philanthropy and pro Bono work since a young age with experience in planning large galas, golf tournaments, corporate outings, community events and so much more. She has also been recently appointed to the Town of Beacon Falls Parks and Recreation Board, where she will be involved in all sorts of fun community events.

Caitlin and her Husband Eric have two (2) wonderful children young children (4 and 3). When not working, they enjoy doing things as a family, especially anything outside and adventurous. On any given Sunday, though you can fine her cooking up a nice meal and having her family and friends over to enjoy.

Shannon comes to our team with many years of experience in different facets of the events world. Her full-time job at Yale University consists of planning academic year symposiums and conferences along with youth and adults summer programs. Prior to Yale, she worked at the Omni Hotel, planning an array of meetings and events for corporate clients, as well as working with couples on their wedding room blocks. Her early career began in Boston, where she worked as a Sales and Events Assistant in both television and radio.

Shannon has a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Quinnipiac University and a Certificate in Special Events, Meetings and Conferences from Gateway. She has worked with us on many weddings since 2010 and enjoys getting to be a part of a couple’s special day. When she is not planning events, she enjoys spending time with her two sons, Trevor and Derek.

Alexzandra (Alex) joined our team in Summer of 2019 as an intern and now is part of our event planning team. She received her Bachelors in Marketing in 2019 and her MBA in 2020 from Quinnipiac University through a 4+1 fast-track program. Along with her knowledge and background in the business world, she holds a strong creative side that allows her to bring attention to detail that plays a major role in our clients’ events. She has helped set up and coordinate many weddings over the past two years, as well as supported couple’s needs through out the day. Along with marketing, Alex has always had a strong passion for wedding planning and thoroughly enjoys providing our couples with nothing but a care free and happy wedding day. One of her favorite parts during the wedding process is seeing the couples’ joyful expressions when seeing their ceremony and venue all set up. Alex keeps busy outside of work through art by creating her own paintings and drawings as well as continually finding new hobbies to enjoy the outdoors.

Alexandria (Lexie) joined our team in 2022, although she is not unfamiliar with the company. She started out as a high school intern for us a few years back for her senior project and she has a special place in her heart for weddings ever since. She is currently a junior in college studying Event Management at Johnson & Wales University and is incredibly excited to be a part of the Pink Olive Events team. 

You will find Lexie at our weddings assisting one of the lead coordinators, perfecting the table decor, double checking seating arrangements, helping to bustle the bride's dress and all the other little things that make the day perfect! 

Erika recently joined the team at Pink Olive Events. Her love for organizing and assisting in planning events started in college where she was social chair for her sorority for 3 years and it has stuck with her throughout.  She received her Bachelors degree from Northeastern University and obtained her Masters degree in Sociology from SCSU.  After taking some time to be home with her son, she is very excited to be a part of Pink Olive Events.  

In her spare time, she loves to go horseback riding, dabble in photography and cheering on her four year old at all his sporting events. She can’t wait to meet so many special couples and help make their special day one of a kind!

Colleen joined Pink Olive Events in the summer of 2022. Colleen graduated in 2020 from Saint Michael’s College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. She is currently an operations manager at Amazon and her love for getting the job done fits perfectly with event planning!

In her spare time Colleen enjoys golfing with friends and family and competing in Spartan Race events. Colleen is so grateful to be part of the POE team and to help couples have the perfect day!

Catherine joined the Pink Olive Events team in Fall of 2021. She has always enjoyed planning parties and events and longed to fill the void left in her life after planning (and re-planning) her own wedding in 2020. Catherine works full-time at the University of New Haven, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from SCSU and a master’s in Student Development in Higher Education from CCSU. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, DIY projects, and exploring New England with her husband, Corey.

Catherine looks forward to working with Pink Olive couples to navigate the excitement of their own wedding day, and ensure no detail is overlooked. She loves to see the décor and special touches each couple includes in their celebration and aims to make their vision come to life.
